Instructions

Step 1: Print out your heart gift box template.

Step 2: Cut out the template. If you like you could use the template as is or use it to trace on another piece of paper that is colored/patterned. After tracing, cut out what you traced.

Step 3: Fold along the lines.

Step 4: Apply some double sided tape or glue to the bottom 4 flaps (see picture for guide).

Match number 1 and number 2 (see picture) first, then match number 3 to number 2, then finally, attach number 4 to the bottom of all the flaps.

After this, glue the small side flap inside your box.

Step 1 to 4 for making a printable heart gift box.

Step 5:  To close your box, first fold down the 2 rectangle flaps on the top.

Then, with the remaining 2 top flaps, slip them into each other using the small slits you cut from the template (these are the dotted lines on the template).

Step 4 continued to 5 for making a printable heart gift box.

FAQ

What kind of paper works best for the box?

Medium-weight cardstock or craft paper works best. Thin paper can tear, while very thick paper may be harder to fold neatly.

Can I use the template to trace onto my own paper instead of printing?

Absolutely. Tracing allows you to use any paper you like and experiment with colors, patterns, or textures.

How can I make the box sturdier or more durable?

Use heavier cardstock and ensure all glued edges are set firmly. Reinforcing corners with extra glue or tape can also help.

Can this be decorated for holidays or special occasions?

Yes! Color, stickers, hand-drawn designs, glitter, or layered paper make the box perfect for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, birthdays, and more.

Can beginners make this heart gift box successfully?

Yes! The printable template makes it simple to cut, fold, and glue. It's beginner-friendly and a fun introduction to paper folding and assembly.
