Adding the handle

Flatten your bag and then choose where you want the handle to sit on the left and right sides. You need an even amount of stitches between them.

Place them on both the left and right folded edges with 34 stitches between them. Mark with stitch markers.

Attach yarn to the stitch on the right side of the bag from the back, ch 58 (or as long as you want your handle to be), then sl st into the marked stitch on the left side of the bag, making sure you don't twist your chain.

Next, make 1 hdc across the ch, working back towards the right, once you reach the end, sl st into the same st.

Ch1, make 1 sl st in each st across the chain back towards the left. Once you reach the left st, sl st. FO and weave in any ends.
