Yarn
- #2 light (DK, light worsted, 8ply) 100% cotton or cotton blend yarn with about 15 wraps per inch (WPI)*
- You will be working with double strands. You can pick 2 yarn colors that compliment each other or 2 balls of the same color.

*Wraps per inch (WPI) - this is a measure of yarn thickness. To measure WPI, count how many times the yarn wraps around a ruler in one inch. There are more wraps for thinner yarn and fewer wraps for thicker yarn.
Skill Level
★☆☆☆☆ - Beginner
It took me about 20 minutes to make one crochet coaster, making this a manageable weekend crochet project (if you're making a whole set) or an evening craft if you're making just one.
Yarn and Hook Information
I recommend using cotton yarn for these coasters as it is more durable and can handle heat well.
You can also use thicker cotton yarn, such as #4 (worsted, 10 ply), just adjust the hook size accordingly.
