This sunflower granny square crochet pattern offers a playful and textured twist on the classic granny square.

Instead of simple geometric shapes, this square mimics the structure of a sunflower, with radiating petals that add depth and dimension.

It's ideal for projects that need both visual interest and structure, whether that's a bright blanket, a cushion cover, or a tote bag adorned with floral accents.

One of the best things about this sunflower square is its versatility.

You can make it as a single statement motif, combine several to form a colorful blanket, or mix it with plain squares for a dynamic patchwork effect.

This sunflower granny square crochet pattern is a bright, floral-style make that works beautifully alongside this daisy granny square crochet pattern when you're building a collection of decorative squares.

Using worsted weight yarn and a consistent tension ensures the petals hold their shape while remaining soft and flexible. But of course, you can use any yarn type you'd like.

This pattern also works beautifully for scrap yarn projects, giving life to leftover skeins in vibrant combinations.

Whether you're creating a handmade gift, a seasonal home accent, or a personal project to practice texture techniques, the sunflower granny square is both approachable and rewarding.

Its quick rounds make it a satisfying, and the bold, cheerful motif brings life and warmth wherever it's used.

If you're after other cute sunflower crochet patterns, then you just have to try this sunflower crochet bag charm, or sunflower crochet coasters.
